Noone ever has much of a chance when ejected like that. Then again, everyone has seen the video of the black corvette hitting a semi @ 100+ mph and the guy gets ejected and then just sits up unharmed.

I think he may have survived if he had his seatbelt on (assuming he didnt). The cockpit actually held up pretty well.

I'm sorry, but I thought that article stated the speed. In another article, state police said he was traveling between 110-140 MPH.

My thoughts exactly - esp after going bad at 140.
Having the drivers door ripped open like that makes it pretty easy to leave the car in a hurry when you're not strapped in.

For the reasons stated above and in this thread is why I posted the pics with the story. Sometimes you just get caught up in the moment and next thing you know you are driving at very unsafe speeds. I know it has happen to me a few times and pics like this sit in your mind and will make you think twice before doing it. It's harsh reality.

The first accident was near where I live...dang.

Second...can't view vid. But the pic on the site showing his legs straight out and unable to see his head is disturbing.

    Off-topic...nice new hood, Drizze.

Guys, I removed that video of the guy not wearing his seatblet. I don't think it's permissible, especially because of younger audiences. I remember removing it last time it was posted. Please refrain, ok? I can let a lot of things go, but that's pretty disturbing material.

Thanks for understanding, and remember, we cater for all ages here.

    Wil out.
