SRT vs. Boxster S

[SRT THIS]

A guy at work was talkin all this mess about how his Boxster S will beat my Neon. I could never race him because I work Graveyard and he works Mornings. Well yesterday I happen to bump into him after I got out of a meeting at work during the day and I challenged him for $100.

We did a 2 out of 3 run at a Long 2 mile stetch. 2 from a stop and 1 from a roll.

1st run- He gets the jump and I real him in by 3rd gear- I win
2nd run-I get a better launch and pull about 2 1/2 cars- I win
3rd from a roll, Lets just say It wasn't nice- I win

He has an upgraded exhaust and some nice 19inch rims in the back and 18's in the front. He said that's all he had.

He gave alot of credit after the race, and tells me thats no Neon, thats a Neon on Mega Steroids. I said it's just the POS Neon you said couldn't beat your Porsche

Why on earth would he put 19's on the rear and 18's up front, thats what I like to call an idiot. Both cars are fairly equal in the 1/4 also, so its a drivers race. But with your mods it was no drivers race , that must have been ugly.

I know I drive an SRT-4, I just call it a Neon as a sarcastic way of expression, and yes I'm from South Side Compton

They may be fast, but they still look like a very inexpensive Neon with an aftermarket hood and wing. I saw one yesterday on my way home from work. We lined up next to each other at a stop light, and he didn't want anything to do with me.

Its a stupid idead either way, 18's front and rear is how its meant to be.

That's kind of like saying I just drive an Impreza. Technically it is and says it on the instrument panel. Did Dodge totally leave the Neon name off the SRT-4. Do they have a seperate owners manual? I was surprised to see the WRX sharing the same manual as the STI. I wonder is Dodge a little ashamed of the Neon's image when trying to push out the SRT-4? The SRT-4 is still a Neon in my opinion, but obviosly commands much more respect due to it's performance capabilities. You won't see those old "Hi" slogans or Cappucino decals on them thats for sure.

Ultimately it's a Neon. It's a Neon chassis etc with a better engine suspension etc etc under the SRT name.

I think He put 18 front and 19 at the back is it because the boxster is rear wheel drive car.But for sure he kill some performance with big wheels.

It's a Neon until it beats you; Then it's an SRT-4. Bwuahahaha.

But yeah, Boxter's aren't that fast.

yes the name is totally off the car physically. but you'll find it on my reg and insurance as Neon SRT4. everyone knows what makes it still a neon, the chassis. but there major simalrities end there (engines,whole drivetrain,suspension is diff)
