I wouldn't down on the mustangs too much those new cobras with a pulley and exhaust and some other minor things pull out 4xx rwhp I believe. Those 03 cobras are pretty wicked I dunno though, maybe the ls1s handle better? I have no clue in that department.

Did you call yourself a pimp? That's awesome.

Nice numbers. I finished selling all the aftermarket parts off my WRX today, so I'll be picking up a WS6 within a couple of weeks. I'll have to find a dyno somewhere around me so that I can post numbers, too.

How much do you plan to do to your Z28? Just the basic bolt ons, are you going to get heads/cam or forced induction or anything? Just curious.

depends...if Im keeping the car as a toy, then I'll do headers, o/r Ypipe, cam, intake, and a tune...and maybe a 75 shot on top of that...

but if im still using this as a daily driver, then it probably wont see too many more mods...maybe exhaust and ls6 intake.

I have to agree. With the stock suspension, tires, etc, you better be careful. They handle ok but not nearly as well as the newer cars out now (STi, RX8, 350z, etc.)
On my 99z28 I was running high performance 275 series tires and the car still handled very unpredicably. The rear end would slide out on you if pushed. I completely lost it a few times and spun the car around. (pretty scary)

There's a real sharp 90 degree left hand turn near my house, and I would loose it at about 50 mph in my 99z28. (back end would swing around).
I can take that same turn easy in my STi at that same speed.

We won't even talk about driving in the rain.

My autoX times between my Firehawk and WRX are within 1/10 of a second of each other on a 52 second course that I compete at regularly. The WRX is nimble and tossable and easy to throw around. Very forgiving if a mistake is made.

The F-body, however requires a lot more concentration, and beats me up more trying to get the most out of it. Mistakes often end up being fun to watch from a spectator's point of view...

Older Mustang Cobra showed at some of our autocrosses...he spun out a BUNCH in corners but it wasn't his usual car. I believe his usual is an older VW, in which he can walk all over me any day, as things are right now. Still kinda cool to run two different cars though, especially with such similar times. Wish my other car could do something like an autocross...
