WRX vs AUDI A4??

A guy at school today told me that a Audi A4 can beat a WRX/STi offroad... is this true? i dont know much about audis but i know they are turbo, and he said something about when they turn right all the power goes to the back left tire so they dont have to slow down into the turn??

A Ram 1500 4x4 might be able to beat a STI off road, who cares. Tell the kid to shut the hell up.

As far as the "not slowing down for a turn" part, tell him to show you!

haha i was like dude, there is no way WRX was made for off-road, this all started because this guy pulls up to school with an audi a6 with rims and this kid says that an audi a4 can beat a wrx off-road and he said that they abandoned audis from WRC or something?

i dont know about offroad but on snow the audis all wheel drive system is much better there is no comparison. its between night and day. so i would think offroad would do the same. unless the sti might be better if it was set up for rally racing in the production models.

i drove both of them and have a subaru and let me tell you biggggggggggggggg

difference..

its just quality allwheel drive thats all

actually subaru would do better offroad because of the allwheel drive being like that.

They banded them in the 80's in SCCA racing because they were the only car AWD. However with weight restrictions they have been allowed back into competition. Had nothing to do with off-road racing just the fact that they were the only AWD

ohh.. yeah i meant banned... i like the interior on the audis but i mean nothing can compare to the WRX in anyway, i was just tryin to stick up for them.

As far as I know the only A4 that is AWD is the Audi Quattro.
A4 1.8t arent much chop. Ive smoked them on the street and the US specifications say that it pulls a 0-60 in about 7.9 seconds.

I dont know about Audi rally spec vehicles, but it would need to be a super tricky Audi to stay with a WRX on the dirt and your standard A series isnt super tricky.

A4? I thought A4 were slow as hell. S4 would be fast I'm pretty sure. Perhaps he got confused.
