Honda Prelude

My wife and I were out in her '02 Corolla S 5spd, I was driving. I noticed a ricer in a 94-96ish prelude way behind me, windshield washer leds and all. Well, we caught a light, this was a one lane per direction road but for some reason at his particular light it goes to two lanes for about 1/8 mile after the light then you have to merge over again. Well, good old ricer (chick) decides to try lining up with the 'rolla, must have looked like an easy kill. The cross lights turned yellow, so I scooted up a little to let her know it was on. I heard the revs rise in the prelude and then the green. I launched pretty good, and pulled ahead, hit 2nd and was 2 cars or so ahead by 50. I flashed the hazards to rub it in, my wife and I were cracking up. I bet it was the base model prelude, but it had at least an intake. It was pretty fun since I never get any takers in the scooby.

I had a Lude before my REX...was a 93 model and came 190 stock (H23A Si VTEC). I had it up to (around) 220 hp before trading it. Those are quick for that year model.

Was it the 'triangle tails' model? If so...and was it a VTEC?...the Corolla should have been walked.

i think the corolla S 5speed is faster than that, but even still, any of the 190+hp preludes and older SI's should have beat up on the corolla, even an auto prelude. and i believe you said she sounded modded also. exhaust, and intake

I ran a Vtec prelude twice at the track on Tuesday, first run he managed a 16.006 @ 88.15 to my 12.656 @ 110.27 and the second time I lined up against him he ran a 16.191 @ 88.49 to my 13.121 @ 110.06.

If i was him id be curious to see what my car had against the WRX.

whats are your mods? if hes a 5speed and your stock or near it, he stands a really good chance from high speeds
