Stock WRX vs S2K

Okay so i was going to taco bell when i spot a very nice very clean black s2k. I wanted to race him but i have heard stories and figured he may win, so i didnt realy think much of it. We stopped at a light and i looked at his car and he said "Is that a cop over there" i replied "nope". So then i heard his tire squeal...so my instincts said to launch. I did and wooped his ass...im prett positive he shut down at around 70 atleast. Cause when i was rounding 80 he was a couple cars back. THen when i slowed down he wouldnt catch up to me, i wanted to talk but he was being a baby :/ If he wantedt o he coulda raced from a roll and showed me whats up. But anyway thats my story. And also some car was riding my ass on the corners, then i went all out and uhm he was a million busses behind me. I love when people ride my ass in tight corners (did that sound dirty?)

yah S2000's aren't that fast from a stop, especially if they don't launch hard. I don't know about the newer models though.

The S2000 is my arch enemy! Well, not really... it's my brother's car and we always talk trash to each other All in good fun of course. We've done a couple runs but nothing great. We did two runs from a roll, probably about a 2nd gear roll to the top of 3rd. We're pretty even but he pulls me at the end to about a car length. We did line up at a light once and I murdered him! He said he missed 2nd gear... how do you miss 2nd? I think my launch probably scared him into misshifting

C'mon fella, S2k vs. WRX = driver's race, even from a stop. That of course has no bearing on this particular story since that crap is irrelevant during a street race...

I have no idea what year it was, is there a defining exterior characteristic to newer s2k's than old ones? It was convertable?

S2k has a bit more hp and is definitely lighter, but has less torque than a wrx. Newer ones have revs limited to I think 8200rpm vs. 9000 for increased low-end torque and less engine noise. I was looking at used S2k's and they seem to be pretty reasonably priced. That would be my weapon of choice if I lived in a climate that allowed it.
