Basically, the video starts off with the cars next to each other on a roll and then they go at it. The camera is in the SRT and is pointed at the STi. As they go, the SRT starts to pull and is maybe a carlength or two at most ahead as the video ends. In total I think it was 16 seconds long. Oh, the video was at night, as it must be a prerequisite of all racing videos to be at night.

Yeah, don't kill yourself trying to get it. It's nothing special. Thats why I gave you the play by play. Didn't want you spending all night getting all kinds of pissed off at it

I visit a lot of forums too. (I own a 996 Turbo, BMW 330i, and Ford Explorer AWD)
I just like cars, so I go to most of the enthusiast forums to browse and occasionally post.

My reason for posting here.... MrDoctor's avatar. It's quite distracting!
Who is that in that clip? haha

PS. I'd take a WRX over an SRT4 any day. Just my $.02 from an owner of neither.

Nice kill on the STi. We're going to see a lot of SRT-4s beating STi's from rolls in the near future.

Oh! Oh! Can I throw in the obligatory "we'll own em in the snow" comment? Wait...got another. "yeah, see how it turns out in the twisties". Whhheeeee....

The few SRTs I've seen are sharp cars, ditch that hideous aerofoil tho, that is just too much.

Both represent the 4 cylinder sport car very well. From a roll, it can often be a drivers race. However, from a dig....well...'nother story. Not hating, just stating.

SRT's are quick for the price but I have yet to meet one on the track that I didnt dominate. True racing on a strip Not honking horns rolling starts.... The SRT's have a real problem getting off the line. 1/8 mile tracks a good time for SRT is in the 9ins. WRX not STi is 8.7's 1/4 mile same result. My car is running in low 8's by next week will be in the 7's..

I have gone to Street races and had SRT's refuse to race me.

So say what you will about the STI, if the guy can drive should have had him easy.

The SRT-4 is a great car. I really like what MOPAR is doing with the aftermarket too all kinds of goodies plus factory warranty.

Plus throw a Neon ACR suspension straight from the parts bin and watch out in the twisties.

Wow, your car does 8.7 in the 1/4? DAMN that is fast. Also, you are talking about beating an SRT4 at a track from a complete stop. The video shows the cars racing from a roll. I could be wrong since you are running 8.7 quarters but I think you may find different results if you run those same cars from a roll.
