    WRX vs 04 SRT-4

Was making a left onto a 4 way street (2 lanes each way) when I noticed a black 04 SRT-4 pull up behind me. I could tell it was an 04 because the sunroof was open. I looked back and he was eyeing my plate. I had a feeling he was going to try me.

The light went green and I roll out slowly and merge into the right lane all the while keeping it in first. Sure enough he darts to the left lane and tried to take off. He got a little jump on me but by the time I had to shift to second he was back at my rear door.

Shifted to third and he was about 1.5-2 cars back, shifted to fourth and he was 5 -6 cars back. I took it to 115 or so and let out because it was obvious. Not sure when he gave up.

Talked to the guy a little. It was bone stock. Have to say, he kept up pretty well for being stock. Have to give them some respect cause they can fly from a roll.

For comparison purposes I was running 93 octane on my more agressive pump gas map boosting 19psi. Dynoed right around 300whp with that setup.

I guess you could say stock tranny. Yes, stock tranny however I have broken it a couple times at the track launching and once from a roll (third gear) both on 24psi. I dont run high boost anymore. It's plenty fast on 19psi and I havent had any problems with the tranny at this power level.

That's strange. It works for me. Try this: http://www.v6p.net/TXS-UTEC-18G-pump...e-HP-vs-TQ.gif

Anyways, for the time being I'm running an 18g with all the supporting mods (on 550cc injectors, going to be upgrading to 740's soon) on a 2.2 block with stock heads/cams.

I was on my 93 octane map which is the lower number in the dyno. We actually ran out of gas on the dyno and couldnt tune it anymore. The higher graph is on 112 octane.

    Silverscooby you are my rollmodel.
So how much would I need to invest to get your kind of setup?
Does your motor hold out pretty good to be a daily driver?
