    Anyone notice that the article says the R32 has the same motor as the Phaeton? The Phaeton has the option of a VW v8 or a HUGE W12...

    Just from experience. I have owned several VW's. The last was a 01.5 Jetta WE. I hate to say it but the damn car rattled. The door cards were poorly put together.....looked nice but didn't sound so good.

    I have been in almost 10 MkIV's and most (if not all) of them had creaks, groans and rattles. My Mk3 and Passat B5 were better put together.

    But, as always YMMV. I swear it seems that VW's vary more from car to car than any other make I know of.

    I guess I'm lucky then. My dealership is cool about fixing the rattles (should they occur) too, so that's nice.
