    Wrx vs turbo eclipse

Is it possible to beat a modded out turbo eclipse with a basically stock wrx? I raced this guy and pulled about 6 car lengths by just dropping to 4th each time. This guy had HKS stickers all over his car and such. Atleist he didnt do the rice by and I got to talk to him afterwards.

6 car lengths? He must (please choose one):
    A) not know how to downshift
    B) not really have a turbo
    C) not really have raced
    D) had 8 or 9 dead bodies in the trunk

or even worse a RS.... you sure it was boosted cause the if it was a boosted eclipse it mighta been stock..and the driver couldn't drive, and he had a boost leak, and his car wasn't started....

I could easily believe this. Hell stock they only ran in the 15s I believe. If his car was a bit old and tired it could have easily lost like that. Not everyone has money to mod their cars

i dunno, 15's sounds a little high. The gsx weighs around 3000-3100 lbs, awd, around 220 hp (i could be wrong). The gs-t's are even lighter, fwd, same hp. I guess it could have happened it if was old, out of tune, boost leak, etc. We all know how "reliable" DSM's are...hehe

6 car lengths is all? I decimated a GS-T with a crappy driver by like.. i dont even want to estimate... but it was REALLY sad. (it had a body kit, wing and stickers... but was stock other than that.)

My friend used to have a GSX(Stock). We would race all the time (me in my stock WRX) and from a roll, or a dig i would always beat him by atleast two car lengths. He even drove my car many times and concluded that although they are very similar, the WRX seems much faster (and much better put together). Oh well, he sold that car for a Z28 because he needed something faster and apparently less practical...

    WRX - It's not a rocket. It's a guided missile.
