assuming equal drivers and a full quarter mile the srt4 should win......of the line the wrx has an edge due to the AWD......but once the srt4 gets traction it will track it down quick......04 srt4s with competent drivers are runnin mid to high 13s stock in good conditions trapping over 100 mph....

I agree......thats the average......if you do go over the the srt forum and look around the guys with 04s that know how to drive (not the average shmucks like me) seem to be consistantly breaking into the 13s with regularity.....my buddy ran his 03 (non LSD) srt4 @ 13.8x and he was bone stock dynoed at 217hp at the time....the 04s have bigger injectors and LSD

I never saw that one before!!

To the poster: This has been discussed a lot here and at SRTforums. I have witnessed several 13.7X & 13.8X passes at my local dragway with stock SRT-4's. That's with good drivers and traction. I have also witnessed 15.1X passes with real Sh*tty drivers.

I've seen 13.8 and up on the SRT4. I've seen low 14s and up for WRX. And just for fun...I've seen 13.1 and up on STi.

I know they can put down good numbers, but most people in my area are not putting down anything better then 14.0-14.2 and i have seen a couple of 15's. This one kid had slicks on his srt4 and still only pulled a 13.77

Those 'typical reliability issues' you speak of are from the 80's and early 90's. The dodge reliability has improved greatly, which is why the SRT comes with a 7yr/70k warrenty. I've got 31k hard miles on mine, and it still runs and drives like the day I bought it. Not only that, but the seats show no wear, the trim panels haven't moved, i've got no weird bumps or squeaks.. And our engine has been making massive power on mods without flinching..

In otherwords, the SRT so far has been a rock for most of it's owners. Now some have modified stupidly (too lean, or rerouting their vacuum lines improperly) and caused engine problems. But that kind of **** is their own damned fault.
