Galant VR-4 vs. STI

i just got done beating the **** out of a STI

all the STI owners have big heads thinking that their cars are all that....... dont get me wrong STI's are bad ass especilly the Blue with gold and the White with gold( droool).

They would have to be fairly substantial....

Of all 150 thousand odd VR-4s down here, including the twin turbo V6 ones a VR-4 wouldnt stand a chance...

I guess with enough mods, it's possible.

Yup, and stronger than a standard EVO motor... Built back in the GRP A rallying days... Much stronger botom end... They are a dime a dozen down my way.... BIG SLOW HEAVY... just to name a few things... It is basically what the DSM Eclipse etc came from, I think the chassis' are the same infact...

I think the fastest in the world is only an 11 something... they might be in the high 10's now... dont follow them anymore since my mate sold his... He was after the world record, but hit the brick wall of reliability... and got sick of fixing it...

I believe it... my first run up at Bandimere, 1/4 mile track @5800ft asl, I ran a highly modified GVR4 and he ran like a 13.0@106 to my 13.6@98. Granted I was stock and he was running a 20G with supporting mods @20psi but still it was a good race and a good loss

. I had him off the line and held him off to about the 1/8th. Then he just started walking me to about a 2 car lead by the end of the 1/4.

Good times. I LOVE sleepers [hehe].

i got a big 16g, gm translater,17psi,ARC fmic,3in turbo back(not cat),ACT 2600lbs,660cc injectors. i got him by like 1 1/2 car. i didnt distroy him i just beat him. also my car has around 300 hp.

he had an exhaust and intake.

I believe him...The shop that tunes my car specializes in DSM's. You wouldnt believe the number of old laser's, talons, galants, etc that can run 10-11 s 1/4 and look stock. Good kill man...Even as a suby guy i also dont like the sti owners that think they drive a mclaren. Doesnt matter to me much though, havent lost to one yet!!

I agree they can be quick...

There are some VR-4s down here that are also quick...

The way you came and posted was the problem...

1/2 a car length... pfff thats not beating the **** out of anything...

I would have thought you should of had more HP than that...

We can get a VR-4 to about 300 @wheels just by tweaking the boost... and evo injectors...

galants, etc that can run 10-11 s 1/4 and look stock.

You find "many" VR-4 doing 10's and 11's, Im pretty sure the world record for a VR-4 is still in the low 11's... (could be wrong, havnt been folowing them much lately...)
