WRX vs EVO vs S/C 350z

About thirty of us headed down to the track yesterday since the weather was great for racing 40F and sunny. I was running my 93 octane map at 19psi.

I drove to the meeting spot with my buddy Bill who has a sweet looking black 350Z with an ATP Procharger kit (includes a FMIC and a CAI), Headers, Exhaust, and a good tune. We had a chance to go at it from 60. I started in third and he gave me a little jump. I held the lead until I hit fourth when he started creeping on me. By 110 his rear bumper was at my door and he had a shift coming up. Sure enough, he missed the shift and it was over. For reference, he was trapping 111-112 yesterday so his car is making some good power.

Once we met with the other guys (mostly Camaros Mustangs and Vettes) I had the chance to line up with my other buddy Bruce in his EVO. We decided to run turbo vs turbo because he also has a 75 shot which i can't compete with. His mods include: HKS 272 cams, Intake, Downpipe, 3 inch catless exhaust with no muffler (LOUD) and some tuning with his S-AFC.

We both slowed down to 65-70 and hit it. It was one of the closest races I've been in. By the time we both let out I was about to hit 130 and had a car on him. I didnt start pulling until 120 or so. I'm not sure what he traps without the nitrous but he was trapping 117-118 yesterday with the 75 shot.

All in all it was an awesome time. It's pretty neat having 30 performance cars all in a caravan.

I don't like the exhausts that point crooked like that. Looks like they weren't installed right to me.

The blower sounds cool but for some reason the exhaust sounds like doo doo. He'll tell you the same thing. He's got the true dual exhaust from Injen. I havent heard any other aftermarket exhausts on a 350Z so it's hard to say if it's the exhaust or the car.
