all i have to say is, props to ford for not putting any music in the commercial. I love the 5.4L tunes, so much i wish the commercial was longer. I heard this thing is gonna be like 150 grand... Im sure it will be worth it... If not the materials, definetly the heritage. Ferrari what???

O yea thats right the ford GT40 waxed everything on the racetrack back in the 60's. This is NOT the same car, but it is built to proportions, and has a fair amount of power 500hp/500tq.

Rod millen said, he was just into 4th gear in the straight "during commercial" and he was at 140mph...

The cool thing about the GT is that it is priced within reach of a lot of people, and not priced out of range like the Porsche GT or the exotic Italian cars.

That ranks up there with one of the most biased and ignorant statements I've read in recent days. It's great how some people are quick to rip apart that which they know virtually nothing about and have never experienced (and in this case will likely NEVER experience).

Don't be so blind and stubborn as to not even accept the possibility that something from your own damn country might actually turn out to be something worthwhile.

If Kia or Daewoo made it instead of Ford, you'd probably fully endorse it, I suppose...

Me? From what I've seen and read, I love the car, concept, and execution. Great job by Ford, and I hope it allows technology to trickle down to their other products, and inspires their competitors to be more creative with their offerings to the public.

Rally maniac.... so i guessyour, Ferrari, Lambo, 911GT3 wont do the quarter at 11.78 @ 124.3mph will it, bottom line is, there definetly arent any japanese cars on this level of playing field from the factory.

    3.6 0-60 on street tires

By the way, Ferarri's, and lamborghini's havent had the best name in terms of reliability.

Are you pro jap, or antiamerican?
I hate people who think american cars are crap. They dont even realize that if it werent for ford, cars would not be what they are today.

    A) they dont know that ford created the assembly line
    B) they dont know that this car whipped everything on international racetracks back in the 60's, WAY MORE HERITAGE THAN EVEN OUR WRX's
    C) They dont know how Ford managed to build 7000 B17 bombers for WWII
    D) They dont know that GM and Ford sell virtually all the pickup trucks, and are the largest automotive conglomerates. With the most mechanics, and the most dealers, and the most drivers. That goes to show you something. American car corporations are doing something right...
    E) They dont know that their subaru is actually indirectly 20%GM
... im tired of typing... i have more reasons, but ill save them for more douchebags to type antiamerican crap

Yea the antiamerican thing is tired.

I'd wager that someone else could have created the assembly line. It's not THAT radical of an idea, but this is beside the point.

Just because they sell a lot doesn't make them excellent cars. Too many variables come into play here.

no one said they were excellent... they are affordable and pretty reliable. Everyone cuts costs somewhere. Back to the topic ford has more racing heritage than any japanese manufacturer... They provided us with some pretty kickass machines, and right in our own back yard.

But because you know someone with a broken down tempo, should that keep you from buying a 150k supercar that is an icon in the motorsports world. IMO, NO!

i know of plenty of sh!tboxes of all makes. And what really matters is engineering, and success when it comes to sports cars.

what we have here is a car that has it all. Engine, brakes, trans, MR Layout, IRS. And looks to match its 124mph trapspeed.
Ill take one please... in black with white stripes... (i was always happy lusting after the viper, 360 modena, and porsche turbo. but this car might make me forget all about them.)
