The "Stig" is Nigel Mansell... a former F1 Champ with Williams Renault....back from the Senna, Prost, Mansell days..

How do I know this? They gave it away the first time they introduced the Stig on the show, and mentioned that he suffered from "Mansell Syndrome"... hmmm........

It is more like a 2.6L engine. A regular piston engine has a combustion event during every other cycle . A rotary egine has a combustion event during every cycle. A rotary fires twice as often as a piston engine... effectively doubling displacement.
