And so are jackasses who don't know the first thing about respect...

Your attitude is deplorable compared to all of us "skoal chewing hillbillies" who drive LS1's on this board. When your ego and head swells down to a size that will fit through the Arch, feel free to have an adult conversation with us.

Until then, you're just making yourself appear naive, ignorant, and foolish. Nice job!

Sorry man, I thought that the SS guys could clear the SRT4/LS1 issue and not the WRX-STI/LS1 issue

I had always been warned to stay away from LS1' on the highway, that's why I asked about the SRT4'.

    Another question...How far is an LS1 to a LS6 (ZO6 engine?) (@ss ripping dept.)

BTW, that launch was just absurd. I went out yesterday and tried it out myself (not that hard). I raced a friend in a regular automatic mini...it looked like the video your in....just awesome take-off.....

I think some of the last f-bodys actually came with the ls6 block. Could be wrong though. Ls1s dont need all that much to get up to the 405hp of z06s.

And I didnt say this thread sucks now because of your question its because stlwrx started talking.

Yeah, well those guys aren't around here, so you're merely offending the rest of us... Do you always make a good first impression like this everywhere you go?

Ive I had a $$ for every negative comment we've heard from LS1 drivers against "ricers" i'd own a Bugatti Veyron. I respect everyone and keep things on the positive tip, but there's no car out there that is goin to smoke all or walk all, keep it safe, and keep it between the lines..peace...

LS6 is the Z06 motor. Comes with better flowing heads, lighter valves, more agressive cam, and the LS6 intake.

All 2001 LS1 motors have the LS6 intake. So to put up comparable #'s to an LS6/Z06, some ported heads ($1500) and a new cam ($250) will basically do the job.

My Firehawk 'vert currently puts out 406 rwhp and 386 ft/lbs. It just happens to be stuck in a 3950 lb raceweight (with driver) package that slows it down considerably compared to a 3200 lb Z06 or 3500 lb regular F-body. Plus, I'm not the best driver in the world, either...

Yea, although i did watch a blond ditz sit at the tree, 1.5 sec reaction time, 2.0 60' 13.31 at 107 with no racing experience whatsoever

She knew nothing about her car, i actually filled out the preinspection form. I wrote down 346 ci, and the inspector said, girl you really know your car... Hah yea right... best part was, She didnt want to wear a helmet cuz it would mess up her hair. After her 13.31, she was told that if she wanted to run anymore, she had to. she had enough fun that the helmet wasnt a big deal

Her boyfriend John had me film a 12.2 @ 116 pass from the front seat, (with a bike helmet) (1.75 60" )

If you want to go from a stop, go for it... all these cars trap over 105... The auto convertible Z with GSC tires went 13.9 in motor trend with ambient temps over 90 , and thats THE SLOWEST ive ever read...

    SRT4 ?

    Didn't want to start anything...

Anyway, if an LS1 is somewhat close to an LS6 and if SRT4' are claiming that LS1 are no match/problem for them, then I am shocked about the power these SRT4 have (hp /weight). I test drove a ZO6 and that thing is the fastest car I have ever driven and I can't/coulnd't imagine a SRT4 somewhat hanging with it That is just insane power......

    Please chime in...

Sorry to revive the thread, its just that I NEED TO KNOW if they are BSing....

A stock ls1 is no where near as fast as a z06 they can be made to have the same hp pretty easily but they weigh more. If you want to know if the srt-4 people are bsing or not then go find out. If you lose big deal. I have seen them dyno at 290 to the wheels with just an mbc then can make alot of power quite easily.
