    Evo8

i was exiting the freeway at around 11:45 when i see this car tailing me. my friend turns around and says its an evo. so i check in my rear view to see and right there was that big smiley FMIC staring at me. we exit and we drive next to each other for a little stretch and i give him a thumbs up. we pull up to a light. how perfect is that. i roll down my window and ask him if he has anything done to it and he replies back with BOV and intake. i ask him how much he paid. 37k!!! i could have sworn the MSRP was around 28k something. light turns green and he takes off. i had too many people so i didnt even bother. 4 to be exact. not much of a race story, but was damn near exciting for me. that thing takes off like a beast.

Some people aren't that close to the vest about their finances, and seem surprised when others are. I've actually had people I barely know openly ask me how much I make.

Don't lie, you know it went something like this...

"Hey, that's a nice car. Whats the retail on one of those things?"

"More than you can afford pal. Mitsubishi."

That sort of discussion would make sense if you were talking about a Porsche Turbo, Ferrari, AMG, etc. For a sub $30,000 car...

Don't get me wrong, I like the Evo. But its not exactly an expensive car.

    bluevilevo8: nice F & F allusion

While I prefer stealth, I enjoy even bad movies with unusual cars. (Gone in 60 Sec's didn't suck too much, did it?)

I wouldn't fret over it too much; afterall, it's not like it was a GOOD movie.

I actually own Gone in 60 Seconds. I think it's pretty good stuff...

Yup....but when they first came out dealer markup was running anywhere from 5K to 20K on them depending on where you lived!

Anyone who paid that much for the car deserves to be broke in my view

    Keith <----------paid under MSRP
Miss the wifes WRX, but love my Ralliart!
