Can someone post WRX and SRT-4 skidpad and slalom #s? I find it hard to believe the WRX cant out handle the SRT-4. (i hope it can )

[QUOTE=MidnightFLAT4]I love the SRT4, its a huge sleeper... and having a sleeper is a fun experience. But in other than straight line acceleration, the subaru is a superior car.

AWD standard (turbo neon in the snow, forget it)
    REAR LIMITED SLIP
    Better gas milage
Better crash ratings (Subaru crash victims keep their legs)
Better handling characteristics (neons pitch the rear)
    POWER REAR WINDOWS.
    6disc stereo

    The neon features:
    Badass motor (bigger displacement)
    Better tires
    cool fake metal shifter knob

Its obvious what Dodge wanted to do with this car. Out drag the compacts... It does it

Subaru built a 365 day a year, rain, snow, gravel car
that gets almost 30mpg, sprints to 60 in 5-6 seconds, sounds great, is fairly reliable, is predictable, moddable, and rides as smooth as an accord.

I am content with my car, i love it and wouldnt give it up for anything other than an EVO or STi, because AWD donuts are seriously some of the most fun things to do in a car[/QUOTE

The Neon has 6 inch wide tires stock I laughed when a guy I know tock them off. How the hell is that thing suppose to get traction with that much torque and 6inch wide stock wheels.

I find this hard to believe as well, the tires stock on both vehicles have the same width, and the SRT-4 has micky mouse springs. You should see the rear stock springs they look like somehting you'd buy at the dollar store.

yes stock fer stock srt4 out handles the wrx in all cases during fair weather conditions in the rain it's all over. all a wrx needs to do is get rid of those shatty all seasons for some good max per tires like the oem srt tires and the wrx will run circles around a srt4 all the time.

as already posted above the turbos are not the same. srt4 turbo is good for 19psi and wrx 16.

Just curious; are there track times to back this up? Seems odd to me, and goes against the anecdotal info I'd seen.

If you go to Road and Track or Motortrend and do a search (i'll try to find link) you'll see a comparo between SRT-4 and a bunch of other FWD cars (celica, protege', etc) and the SRT comes in fourth place in lap time because of poor handling...stock.

For the guy who said the tires are same size...your wrong. They are 6 inch on the Neon (not 6.5 like WRX), but I think the tire itself is better than the all-seasons we have.

Here's the link...read the whole thing.

he never said the rim width was the same. just the tire width and he's right there both 205s in stock from. that was a good article. there are several fwd that we all know will out handle alot of cars the celica and the protege are deff two of the top in fwd. to come in 4th in such good "handling" company really isn't that bad.

also see how the wrx did in salom and braking in the same road and track hands
