    fun with an LS1

Lined up at a light, two lanes turning left. I have the outside track. A late model Pontiac f-body with two pipes left and right revs. We roll on green but the young guy guns it mid turn. By the start of third my rearview shows he has no hood nostrils. He pulls in behind me to avoid the left-hand turn lane the next light up. My 16 year old daughter said it was fun. I thought so too.

Hmmmm....short story, not many details, bad punctuation.......bonus points for a victory....final grade C+

Sounds like a Formula, or possibly a TA. Any chance you know what year it was? Cause you say LS1 but it might have been an LT1? Oh well kills a kill!
Stock or something close to it.....

    nice kill!

Reminds me of my mum! She'll race just about anything in her 300M no matter how many people are in the car!

she still wonders why her 255HP (crank) car can't beat my 227 HP (crank) wrx from a stop or a roll! Little does she know that I have more like 300+whp!

Me too. Not too shabby for an old fart who teaches high school Latin.

soon2BWRXd: my punctuation is good, details concise; no way was it pre-'98.

    Thumbs up

    Nice takedown!

No nostrils or hood openings on a Pontiac F-body indicates an LT1 (Formula and TransAm). The LS1's (both Formula and TA) have two non functional openings at the base of the hood. LT1 Firehawks and WS6's have two thin openings up on the hood.

The LS1's also have honeycomb taillights versus a more regular square grid pattern on the LT1 taillights. But since you didn't get a chance to see them...
