I am a beleiver that a WRX would hold up better than that...

I was involved in an accident in my WRX where i hit a gaurdrail at 120mph taking out 100ft of it and spinning the car MULTIPLE times into a highway divider...

I kicked the door open the car was DESTOYED but i walked off without a scratch...

Search for details I posted this back in August or September.

I can only hope that insurance companies hike rates on these cars!

I mean really..who buys these cars other then those who are street racers? These are just teen killers just like the Mitsu EVO VII.

I really dont know if the rates are high on these rides..but suspect if they are not now.they will be soon.

    Thanks.

I blame the parents for a lot of these accidents. There is no kid that can handle a 215whp FWD car with no/little driving experience. I am a parent and I would NEVER let me kid get a SRT-4/WRX/STi/EVO.

If I had kids, I'd do the same...I recommend the 1991 Isuzu Stylus 5-speed. Nice and slow...

    irresponsible parents

...speaking of responsible parents not letting their kids have sick first cars....

some kid that lives on my girl's street is 15 years old and hardly looks it. Hes a year away from legally getting a driver's license yet every day he drives his boosted focus putting down like 240 at the wheels. I ran into him the other day in traffic and he was enticing me to race, flashing a big wad of cash he wanted to bet. I just laughed and said I didnt want to take his allowance...but in reality Id'a got smoked. Anyways, what kind of parents would support this?

    240 at the wheels, in a car the size/weight of a focus, driven by a 15 year-old...

    Wow.

That kid has stupid parents.......VERY STUPID!

After the first Fast & Furious came out, the "star" cars in that movie were sold. The kid from the TV show "Malcolm in the middle" bought the white Jetta. One night he was on the Jay Leno show and they were talking about him buying the car and Leno says "is it really that fast?" His response was "I don't really know because my parents had me take it to a shop and have the nitrous disconnected and some other things adjusted to make it slower." I said myself, "Damn" those are some great parents. No matter how big of a celebrity their son is, they are down to earth and not even he gets special privlages!!

Way to go for the parents but...WTF was he thinking getting that particular car? I bet it wasn't cheap either...
