40 lbs of boost...and I still took him!

    Yep, you read that right!
Going north on Hwy 1 today, I saw him up ahead. I knew he was pushing some serious HP and at least 40 lbs of maxed out turbo boost from the monster.

    I went for it anyway.

Downshifted and put the peddle down.

1 second later, I was at his rear tire.
Another second, at his front end.
3 seconds later I was in the lead by about 6 lengths, hit the flashers and let off the gas....whew...I beat him!!!

BTW...did I mention it was in my wifes' Kia Sedona and it was my buddy in a massive refuse truck that I was racing?

I called him up and he was like "Yeah you sh*t, I saw the ricer fly by!!" It was classic!

    Anyway...just had to share.

The Kia badge alone gives roughly 200 hp to the wheels

hoohaa....yeah..that Kia is one mean whip!!

All kidding aside, this will sound wierd, but it actually has 1 more ft/lb of torque than the WRX. Doesn't that sound strange? It sure does to me. All I know is that in real world events, is that dumpy van will literally fry the tires off on some hot pavement. I kid thee not!! I've done it once, and had a blast doing it, then I remembered...um...I've got an STi in the garage...why am I doing this?
I tried to convince the wife once that the sqealing noise was due to the low air pressure in the tires...she didn't buy it

Our 2001 Toyota Sienna minivan has the 4 cam Toyota V6, the same one that they put in some of their Lexus', and the Avalon. It's rated at 210hp, and from a roll it pulls with a fair amount of authority, considering the weight its trying to deal with.
