i have gotten her somewhat ready to go out into the world. she's stock except for a few odds and ends but stock turbo, head, bottom end, and auto tranny she has gone a 822 @ 84.4 on street tires at 13 psi. she is going on sunday on some drag radials and about 16 psi. hopefull hitting 7's for less than 1000 bucks. i have right at 800 dollars in the project now. here are some pics and my dyno graph. she has a perfect torque curve for 15-25 mph rolls!!
Mods: TurboSpec 20g hybrid turbo, TurboSpec racing downpipe, custom 3" catback, vishnu uppipe, ported exhaust manifold, ported TGV housings, perrin intake, custom inlet pipe, greddy front mount, walbro 342 pump, perrin fuel rails, sx FPR, sx fuel filter, SSR Competition wheels, Carbon fiber hood, gauges galore inside, techedge WB O2 kit, UTEC, greddy profec b, greddy turbo timer.
1982 280zx turbo swap. Ford supercoupe intercooler. crushed stock FPR, crushed 2g dsm bov. stock 99 dodge diesel catback as intercooler piping. electric fan, and intercooler fan. best e.t. 8.22 @ 84.4 238hp 348tq
i have a profec b and went from 12.5 psi to 16psi, but as you can see we are still fighting some boost loss issues as the revs climb. we have narrowed it down to a few things but are confident that it is the vacuum canister the car was supposed to have stock but we said "lighter faster" but ended up needing it.

motor has 168k miles, has never been "opened" i have a box lying here with cam, rockers, bearings, rings, lifters, springs, retainers and a whole lot of elbow grease for the massive p&p i'm doing after christmas.

That's damn impressive.So some of these 280z's came turboed, eh? I didn't know that. I also didn't know they could handle that much POWA!

lol, I just know these people through my website and events...I only know about 7 people who run single digits. Definitely let me know if you're coming down, especially near summertime, we can check out the local scene and see some VERY fast cars.Originally posted by sarcasmo

That car looks like hideous.(no offense, i do realize your not going for looks)
If i had it id say screw the track. Id go out in town and try to race everyone in sight. When they laugh thinking easy kill......they'd be took by the sleeper.
