FX45 encounter

Leaving work today I went and filled up with 100 unleaded. I don't live very far from work and don't drive the car too much anymore so I figured "wtf, why not?"

I finish up and ease out into the left turn lane which becomes an on ramp onto the highway. I pull in behind an Infinity FX45 and quickly notice that it has pink under-body neons. I kinda chuckle to myself as I admire the rest of the car/suv. From behind it looks like a RX-8 on steroroids. Massive tires, dual exhaust, etc.

Green arrow, we start merging onto the highway. I make my way to the far left lane and as I start to pass the FX45 (half throttle) I notice that it keeps picking up the pace to match me. By this time I am in 4th gear and cruising at 50 or so. I wasnt sure if he was trying to race me or what, so I blip the throttle a bit. Sure enough, the FX45 lunges forward. I'm still "wtf" at this point and decide to let it go. But no, he lets off and falls beside me again.

This time I'm not fooling around. I dropped it to third, grabbed fourth, hit 100 and looked back. Here comes the FX45 barreling down from way back there. I'm expecting the fly-by and was ready to let it go but it started pacing me again. Then I notice the drivers window rolling down (it was tinted.)

Turns out it was a chick! I didnt know what to do. She shouted something, but over the wind and my exhaust I couldnt hear much. She then gave me a thumbs up and fell in behind me until my exit. As I exited I looked over and notice there were at least 2 more in the car because they were both hanging out the window.

I can honestly say that was the first time I ever felt like a "pimp" in the WRX. Most times girls think it's a civic with a fart-can on it.

Yeah, she kinda was. It was probably one of the local rich kids. She and her friends didnt look very old. Maybe 20 at the oldest.

I told my wife about what happened and she just rolled her eyes.
