Heres that quick vid I mentioned earlier of my friends supra. This was his 2nd run and he was using drag radials. The coolest part is the quick picture of the boost gauge...itll put a smile on your face.

the SP-67 is one nice turbo.
hopefully i did the right thing.
the auto is much faster for the 1/4th mile, this same car as a 6 speed with decent driver will be like 11.5 or so

my buddy had a rebuit/turbo swapped gmc cyclone. they only came in auto but it would have been impossible to out drive a manual over that auto. it just felt like one long gear, it was very difficult to tell when it was shifting, very fast, very smooth.
it use to be our club rental vehicle. whenever someones car was out of commission we would drive that. very fun low 13 second "rental".
In the VID it says "SP auto trans" or somthing to that effect...gtg teacher is coming.Originally posted by j-speed racer

the 67 is good for 700rwhp high boost racegas, plus all the other little things to help (computer, iginition, ect)
on the exact same car the 71 should make about 100more rwhp than the 67

Upgrades??? stock...
My brother runs the SP57 with an SP auto transmission and Precision triple plate converter. He chose the 57 so it doesn't lose any bottom end. It's tons of fun in daily driving but the 57 can go as high as 27 psi when you're ready for the real power. The SP57 is rated at "only" 550ish rwhp but it's soooo streetable vs the many dynos you see with a 2k rpm powerband. It defies the typical "top end only" reputation the Supra has.
It'll pull 120 mph traps at 18 psi on 93 pump, and that's with traction issues on the 1-2 shift (with 295-width Bridgestone S03's out back) and nothing but SOTP tuning of the VPC and SAFC. I think the combo is good for high 10s and 127-130 mph without stressing anything. We'll see next spring.
