    Raced a turbo Supra

So I went for a quick 15 minute spin last night to get out of the house. I just drove up the nearest long clear straight that has traffic lights. Within a few minutes, it was me at a red light next to a turbo Supra (the last body style ones) with an exhaust and loud BOV (at least those are the only performance mods I could see). He also had a body kit and some big rims and some gauges and such. It was a really beautiful car (much better looking than my blue econo-crate). As we are sitting at the light waiting for it to turn green, I hear him put on his stereo system and start thumping. That gave me a hint that he might not be a hardcore racer (not that there's anything wrong with music and driving, just that I like to focus on driving when I go at it, and I don't see people do that at the track too often). So anyway, the light turns green and, although it's a turbo Supra with mods, I didn't want to beat on my already slightly wounded clutch and probably near dead tranny, so I launch normal at first, bog some, then floor it so as not to launch ultra hard. We both were even coming off the line basically. Long story short, at the beginning of 4th I had him by 3 or 4 car lengths then we both decelerate. After seeing so many internet car videos of Supras crushing everything from Vipers to Hayabusa's, I figured there might be a chance I get crushed, but I guess not this time.

Wait, you said the last body style ones...do you mean the MKIIIs or the newer, 93-99 ones? I ask cause there's a HUGE difference in performance between the 2.

Holy sh*t that's damn good! Especially considering they put down 280-300 whp completely stock, and you're probably making about 300 whp. With just exhaust an mkiv can make 330-340 whp.

Well, I'm guessing his car was about stock speed or maybe a tad faster due to the exhaust, which could have been offset by the HUGE chrome rims he was rocking. I was only a few car lengths ahead at the beginning of 4th. It's not like we did a roll from 60 or something, heh. If I said I hosed a worked turbo supra from a 60 roll, then maybe that would be a little different. Maybe he had one of those electronic BOV noise makers under his hood, hah. Too bad Supras aren't cheap! I love those things.

I hate Supras like that. Doesn't that guy realize if he got a Sububan or something instead he could fit 24s and a much bigger "system".

    Good kill anyway turd
