03 Neon keeping up with 4 WRX in the twisties??? WTF

    Driving back from this meet

August 23-24 - BIG OL' NABISCO TRI-STATE MEET IN NJ!

with PlatinumWRX, kushdogg, virpacalis, & IMPREZvWRX.....

It was either pity for the rental "SRT-4" , or I actually kept up in the curves and gained on them until a straight comes in and lose me again....

...and had a green civic ricer fly-by also.

Here's the Neon...before we wrote in SRT-4 and Jim writing "The Fastest Car Evar!"

    Tan,

You did an exceptionally good job keeping up. Just goes to show how good a driver you are, it wasn't even your car!!!

Neons are, and always were, excellent handling cars. Why do you think I chose a Neon as my next daily driver...

Also, I was the lead dog and I didn't want anyone to crash or get "snagged by the feds" (as Weasel would put it), so I was trying to stay out of the triple digits.

Yeah I was very surprised to look back and see him there most of the time. Way to go Tan!

Jim, on the next fun run don't hold back. The drive there was by far the best time I've had in my Rex

Someone gotta post the modifications....just for laughs.

The Neon now makes an annoying squeal from the front now

It didn't like the e-brake turn on sunday either, on the way to the recycling drop off.

Nice driving Tan. That was fun. Anyone else have large amounts of brake dust on their car after the drive home?

Nah! I was engine braking in second or third for most of the corners. You need to upgrade your brakes, JD.
