WRX Wagon vs. De Lorean (Pics), Chris Noth

    What a day!

I spent the afternoon at this year's huge Nasioc Tri-state meet in New Jersey, which was cool as heck. The great guys from Precision Tuning in Brick, NJ (Nino's mechanics) adjusted my clutch pedal for me for free.

On the way back downtown, a De Lorean came screwing down the FDR (in Manhattan) behind me. He caught up and got stuck in traffic with me, which gave my co-driver the opportunity to bust out the camera. As soon as traffic started moving again, he decided to start gettin' nuts, and so we pulled a li'l FDR race. See the following posts for pics. By the way, I crushed him, and he was definitely trying. His exhaust was so loud, popping and crackling like crazy. Very nice car!!!

Once I got downtown, I pulled up to a stoplight, and my friends noticed someone familiar in the car next to us. I turned over and was like, "Hey that's Chris Noth (Mr. Big on Sex and the City)!" For some reason, I immediately challenged him to a race and started revving my engine. He thought it was funny as heck, so he said, "We'll go from the next light." The light turned green and he smoked the tires of his rented Monte Carlo. There were too many cars at the next light, so the race was off, but it was all well and good because none of us could stop laughing! Very nice guy, whack car.

    Anyway, check the pics.

    The chase...

Mucho traffic, but also mucho speed. At the moment, my SBC-iD was set with way too much gain and I was hitting 12-13 PSI at about 3500 rpms in 3rd gear.

As I understand it, DeLoreans came with a 130 hp 6 cylinder.

No wonder his exhaust was popping and crackling like my friend's fart-can equipped Prelude.

That's impossible. DeLoreans cannot hit 88 mph.
