    Hey SilverScooby,

How do you pass emissions in Wake County? I can't remember if it's an OBDII check only in Wake or not. Are you doing the resistor mod to inhibit CEL's and that's all it takes?

    Sorry to be OT...

Hey Ray, I think Wake county is OBDII only. At least with me it was, although I had one of the service guys do the test for me where I work.

Yes, I do run the resistor mod to eliminate any CEL codes having to do with the cat.

Wow that is a great setup you have there. What else would you recommend getting when upgrading the turbo to an FP-18G... the usual fuel mods? Anything else?

The FP-18g would make a great upgrade to a TurboXS Stage 4 car (or any car with the same level of mods) with an upgraded intercooler ( I run a TMIC ) Just swap the VF30/34 for the 18g and re-tune it. To take full advantage of this turbo you really should tune for race gas as well as pump. It's a night and day difference. This turbo loves 20+ psi. I'm running the STi injectors, but if you were starting from scratch, a set of the 660's or 800's would be all you'd need. I say 800's in case you ever want to send your 18g in to be made into a FP Green.

should I stage 2 wrx be about equal to a Z on a highway roll?

I would guess those Zs trap 99-100 mph

Jim: Why did you go with a TMIC as opposed to a FMIC?

I really wanted to like the 350z. But, after a lengty test drive and thourough look, I found it to be nowhere near as fast and even less practical than the camaro I was trading in

I bought the TMIC because of a couple reasons:

    1) Lag (less of it)
    2) Cost (less there too)
    3) I have had several friends who have caught nasty rocks or built up snow in their FMICs (although we dont get that much snow in NC)
    3) Cost

I will be switching to a FMIC when I go with the FP Green, and some 800cc injectors. The TMIC works fine for the power I'm making now.

I went with the NGK Platinums that are 1 heat range colder than stock. I forget the model number.

BTW I love your stories and always look forward to them
Thanks man. I only write about half the races that happen. For some reason I attract alot of them.
