    WRX Stage 0 vs. EVO

How would a Vishnu Stage 0 WRX hold up against an EVO 8? Also, if anybody has added more boost to the stock WRX turbo, can you actually hear it? The EVO 8 had such a nice turbo spooling sound, I was hoping a modded WRX may sound similar?

I think Turbo Magazine did a comparison with an EVO VIII and a Vishnu Stage 0 WRX. The EVO won in every category. ANyone feel free to correct me if I am incorrect.

    compare in what?

My txs stage 2 holds its own very well w/ a stock evo 8 I can't remember if that is vishnu stage 1 or 0 though... anyway give it a shot as a good or bad driver can/will make the race.

Can you actually hear the turbo hissing? I drove my bud's stock WRX and couldn't hear the turbo at all. I love the HISSSSSSS of the Evo.

Vishnu Stage 0 is an ECU reflash, up-pipe, and underdrive pulley.

Here is the link. Looks like my memory was a bit foggy. It was an EVO VII and a Vishnu modded WRX with some extra stuff. So it won't help too much for your question.

TXS 2 is about the same is Vishnu 1, with upipe and underdrive pulley being the difference. Still pretty close. I personally think the EVO VIII has the upper hand until the WRX opens it's exhaust. Driver definately matters though.

With my catless DP, catless UP, removed silencer, and catback, the stock turbo sound is VERY pronounced and quite enjoyable (to my ears, anyway).
