the F-50 and F-40 are actually worth too much to drive everyday. They're collectibles in every sense of the word.

Enzo commissioned the original F-40 to commemorate Ferraris 40th anniversary, knowing it would be bought for its sheer investment value.

I don't think Enzo ever got to see its successor, the F-50. But he would've tripped after seeing the performance of the car named after him. Road & Track said it was the best sports car they EVER tested.

With a car like that, I'll just park it in my living room with one of those rotating circular floor for it

The last thing I want to see is some mean a$$ modded Sti or a debagged "V6" 03 Cobra laying the smack down on my eye candy and then come to some lame a$$ board to brag about it

Correct me if I was wrong, but I thought that this was a wrx/car ENTUSIEST forum. Some of the poeple on here don't know a Ferrari from a GM.

People should realize that there is NOTHING more to life than cars and live thier lifes by that.

Go to www.edmunds.com, and check out their Long-Term Ferrari F550 Maranello. They say the Maranello cost about a dollar every mile you drive it.

    Ferraris fooey

I have a 1997 Legacy Outback and a 2001 Forester, some day will get a WRX wagon (darnit that the STI only comes as a sedan), so I took a look at this forum today, for the first time, for kicks, noticed all you guys weeping and wailing and envying the Ferrari drivers. Suggest you bear something in mind: all it takes to own a Ferrari is a pile of money. Most Ferrari owners buy them for the nameplate, they couldn't care less about what excellent cars they actually are. You WRX people on the other hand KNOW how special the Sooby is and CHOSE it for its sterling road behavior. You exercised your brains, not just your wallets. A well driven WRX will make the average Ferrari driver work to keep ahead of you anyway. And for those of you who are lucky enough to have the STI, you are getting 95% of Ferrari performance for 1/5 the price. So cheer up.

I'd still buy a ferrari. but not any of the new ones.

I'd get the 288 GTO, the most beautiful sports car in history IMHO...

Why do they call it the GTO?

The GTO made its name as the baddest American Muscle car of the era, not some foreign supercar.

    Why did they do that?
