    /slang off

hmm...I dont know about that...but at least its somewhat believeable cause you have an STi...this guy has a stock wrx

but then again, when I was stock-ish running 14.1's, I took my friends LS1 Z28 up to about 70 when he started to pull...LS1s arent unbeatable from a dig to a reasonable speed...but up top, they are pretty tough.

Two stock LS1 convertible automatics with 2.73 rearends were running a best of 14.00 at 101 mph today at US41. Stock (with a cold air intake) t-top automatic cars with 3.23 gears were running a best of 13.2 at 105. Fastest bolt on LS1 today (driven by a girl, no less!) (stock engine, stock cam, stock heads with headers, full exhaust, intake, suspension, converter) ran 11.7 at 113. Stage IV WRX ran a best of 12.9 at 104.

I've yet to see or hear of a stock WRX breaking 14.1 in the 1/4 mile. And in hotter conditions like today (upper 80's, strong headwind), a stock WRX would've been a 14.5 second car at best. It is VERY UNLIKELY that a stock WRX will take down a stock LS1.

It's not a matter of "not wanting to believe someone", but rather ensuring that their story is credible to begin with. Like in a court of law, if you can't present a good solid case, the defense is going to shoot holes in it, and the judge is going to throw you out of the courtroom for wasting his time. Like it or not, but that's the way car forum "kill sections" are for the most part. It also helps weed out the trolls and people just fabricating stories for attention.
