It seems this is one of the most (if not THE most) powerful WRXs in the country at this time. One cool way to become infamous overnight...

I'm sure he'll give you a lengthy narrative on the mod list.

The old setup walked cobras hard. The new setup well... lets just say that i'll have a bit more displacement, a bunch more boost and a VERY big turbo... If all goes as planned, i'll have power to run 10s under the hood.

mhoward1 you are correct, there was a 99, 01 and 03 cobra no 00 and 02.

Check out this thread (page2) on the i-club. It gives my modifications at the time of my last trip to the track (last season).

My car is not moving right now becuase i have the motor out of it, and am building up my WRX a whole bunch more.

So you are running the stock IC? I was told to replace the IC before I purchased a Pe1820. How was the drivability of the car with does mods, and was it reliable?

The person that told you that is ingorant

The stock intercooler blows, but its not THAT bad. I likley could have run 11s on the stock intercooler. The PE1820 heats the air less at high boost than the stock turbo does, and as such the intake charge is lower and the intercooler has less to deal with.

the car was great at that level. I decided i wanted to push further, and blew a HG on pump gas running likley too much boost and a little detonation.

What was the everyday boost you ran. Was their any detonation when you ran a daily setup? What was the boost at the track?

I ran 17psi daily and 19.5 at the track
