    I am confused

    Do you own a WRX?

Have you ever driven a WRX?

Why compare the other 2 and not a WRX?

Just wondering, the other cars are nice, but if you want a car that is easily modded and all around fun to drive.....try a WRX

    just a thought

If its that 337 GTI, then get that beasty. With some minor mods, it'll scoot, and it handles quite well from what I've read. I test drove a RSX-S when in the market, ended up a WRX tho. The RSX is smooth, real smooth. Revs like a weed-eater, build quality is no-brainer. The FWD is what soured the deal for me. Once I had a taste of the AWD, I was hooked.

Also keep in mind your options for service and such. I don't think VW dealers are quite as abundant as Honda/Acura dealers.

If there was no WRX then I would be in a GTI.

if it's for everyday driving and you don't really care or have enough to boost RSX-S, then I'll go with RSX-S.

it's so much better interior and a quieter (stock) and comfortable ride then GTI.

But going fast is your thing, then I'll go with... ummmm... WRX.

GTI is nice too, but well... I never like the ergonomics on that car.

WRXs can be affordable.. especially with them closing out the 03s... more so than the RSX-S even.

If you can only do one or two simple mods (and you're looking for the fastest car of the bunch with those mods), WRX all the way. Its pretty comparable in price to the RSX-S in terms of dollars - both have their pluses and minuses, as all $23K cars should and do have.

I've never driven a new GTI, only my dads '01 or '02 (can't remember) 1.8T...I didn't like it at all, but that's a pretty personal and subjective opinion.

RSX-S: low 15s, spend $600 on Hondata and $215 on Injen CAI and you have a low 14 second car (few have hit high 13s with Motor mounts and better tires)

WRX: mid 14s, spend a few hundred on MBC and some $ on a uppipe (as far as I understand it) and you have a high 13 second car that launches like a mofo. Cheaper to mod than the RSX-S.

GTI: I know you can chip it pretty easily and I'm sure it comparable to these two cars above (don't know much about VDubs though) in terms of speed.

You probably ought to go drive all 3 of them though...I'm sure they all handle differently, drive differently, etc...oh yea, Type S's Bose system sucks ass, don't believe the hype

Yeh, Bose system is horrible on that car. Even the trunk spare tire mounted sub is pretty weak.

But nice seats, presentable interior compare to other japanese cars in the price range.

20th anniversary GTi is $23k and I think it's nice looking. I've been hearing it drives just like the 337, which is cool.
