Yesterday I had my dyno tune at TurboXS in Maryland. I laid down a little over 350whp with 112 octane. After the tuning I left to head back home with a little less than a quarter tank of the 112 left in the car.
The car feels like it's on crack, seriously. It's rediculous, tire spinning in second, chirping in third.
Anyways, to the story.... Leaving the industrial park I noticed a new graphite M3 convertible lingering behind me. It was two younger guys so I was hoping they'd be game for some fun. I roll up to a stop light, the M3 is stuck behind me. I figure now would be a good time to see if my launch control is working, maybe it will get his attention.
I press in the clutch and press all the way down on the gas and hold. The car sounds mean as hell, revs hold at about 5,000-5,200. When the light turns I let off the clutch and all four light up immediately, I catch second and lunge foward putting a considerable gap between me and the other cars. This gave the M3 a chance to come up to my left. I slow down and we exchange the usual "nice car...blah blah" I then ask him to roll onto the highway with me and he obliges.
We lined them up at about 65 in 5th and he did the three honks. On the third honk he got a tiny jump on me until I downshifted to third. After that it was all over. By the end of third I had slingshot past him and by the middle of fourth I had a good 4 car lead. I let out at about 120 because traffic was coming up.
The look on the guy's face was priceless. Almost as if I had run over his dog. I gave him a thumbs up and a little honk as he exited.
