Another EVO looks at WRX tails

What's up guys?

Another one of my DSM friends got an EVO (Silver one). He was out in it last night and has it all broken in.

Anyways, we went 3 times from a roll.

First race started at ~50mph and went to 100mph. I started in 3rd when I should of been in 2nd. We counted down to 3 and went at it. He pulled a fender immediately on me due to my gearing decision. I gained it back and put about 1/2 a car on him to 100mph. WRX-1, EVO-0

Second Race started around 60-65mph. No gearing problems for me this time. We were even for a second then I started pulling up to about 110mph. I had ~2 cars on him. WRX-2, EVO-0

Third race was the best for me. We started around 40-45mph with me in 2nd gear. We ran up to about 120mph this race. I started pulling as soon as we started. Had ~3 cars on him up to 120mph. WRX-3, EVO-0.

The best part about the last race was there was this new G35/350z that tried to keep up with us. The EVO had about 3 cars on him and I had about 3 cars on the EVO. The G35 got smoked bad by both of us

The EVO was totally stock. Freshly broken in.

My car is an 02' WRX with 3" turbo-back, up-pipe, APS intake, APS Club spec unichip (shelf map), Samco IC hoses, and a MBC@15.5psi.

Either way, it was all in good fun and my friend was a good sport about it. I'm sure I will be seeing his tails soon enough.

so what kind of mods do you have? any stage kit or just bolt ons? nice kill by the way....

ops.... missed the mod list section

nice.... theres one in my area i want to go at... i have blitz intake, MBC 16.5psi, vishnu 321up-pipe, BPM GT turbo back, samco maf & I/C hoses, need some eng mangt next..

Nice races...

My mods are very close to yours. I raced a EVO in the neighborhood and found somewhat the same kind of results you did. You know when those EVO's start modding we may need to get upraded turbos to keep up.

Yeah, the EVO has a turbo that is almost twice the size of our stocker.

Our upgrade is what the EVO's flow stock...lol!

So you (more or less) have a Club Spec package - right? I'm looking at getting that since there is a dealer/installer in my city.

Have you had yours dynoed?
