    WRX vs 300ZXtt

I'm getting a WRX soon and i was wondering do you thinks it better in the long run to get a WRX then a 300zx. Even though the Z is faster or is it faster. Got any good storys vs a Z.
    Thanks Swift

The 300z can be made faster ultimately turbo 3.0 liter. But the WRX will all in all be more practical.

The twin turbo is sub 14 stock. With not many mods your in the high 12's on nice flat road.

The WRX however can hold 4 adults quite comfortably while driving thru the dessert/blizzard/forest.

I would say get both...but make sure the 300 Z checks out alright.
Twin turobs pump out a lot of heat and tend to fry themselves and everything around them. They also have some injection problems over time (carbon build up). I had one and loved it (until the electrical burned out, and then the thermostat died, and then etc...).

arent the 300zx's real tight in the engine bay making it a lot harder to do any kind of work on it?

I own both a WRX and a 300ZXTT. If you are planning on owning both eventually, I would say get the 300ZXTT now. The reason is that they aren't being made anymore, so every year you wait means somebody is putting miles onto your Z. It'll be easier to find one with low to mid range mileage now than 5 years down the road. The WRX on the other hand will probably be made for the next 20 years... lol... and you'll be able to pick up a brand new one whenever you want.

If it's one or the other though, I personally prefer my Z. The fit & finish is leagues above my WRX, and the 600+hp that I've under the hood of the Z is nice too. It may be somewhat problematic when I start having kids soon though... I think I might just strap a baby seat down in the trunk... lol.

One is a sports car where as the other is a 4 door. Two different types of cars.. it all depends on what you want?

Tight, yes... but, not impossible. All of the tune-up stuff (oil changes, spark plug changes, air filter, etc.) is easily accessible... in fact, changing the plugs is even easier than on the WRX. But, once you want to start doing major bolt ons, it'll take a bit more work (for example, most people pull the engine to change the turbos). Anyways, here's a pic of my engine bay... you guys can make your own decisions on how tight it is...
