    I think as it turns out that the stock XT has a pretty soft suspension. Aesthetically, I don't think I could get a Forester to the point that I liked the way it looked. (with a little work and $$$, I've managed to get there with my WRX...) It's just a little too utilitarian-looking for my taste.

    On the plus side for the Forester, I do love the idea of a 2.5Turbo.

    But NO, I would still have gotten my WRX!

    Just my opinion, of course.

    There was a prereleased one at STPR. Got to talk to the guy briefly and look through the hood scoop to see if it really was what it was. I couldn't make out an intercooler through the scoop, but the car definitely look a bit more aggressive than the old forrester.

    How much HP do they put out? Is it the same motor that the STi has?

    210HP, 235ft-lbs torque, I believe. Yes, I think I heard that it's the same basic motor as the STi, but different state of tune. Can't speak to what kind of turbocharger is on this motor...

    I would think that the motor would be a wonderful base for mods.

    even B4 was lower than regular WRX.

    I would take a xt over a wrx. same block as new sti and share some features (avcs, sodium filled exhaust valves, etc..). XT will produce more power and torque from the same mods on a wrx. I just hope the tranny on the xt is stronger than the wrx.

    Stock xt will be faster than stock wrx. Similar weight, while xt has more torque, and 4.44 rear.

    someone on nasioc wrote up what he thought after driving both cars.....it's in the general community

    as for myself, right now, i don't think i'll be getting into a forrester, maybe if i had kids or something
    k&n, sti-hoodscoop, engine mounts, & tranny mount, blitz dtt, catless up-pipe, samco ic hose, greddy CC, cusco f/r swaybars, gutted midpipe, oil cooler, prodrive exhaust & f/r replica sti strut tower bar, gunmetal rota tarmac, goodridge ss lines, p'n'p exhaust manifold

    Hey, you're right! I think the PT is 215HP and 245torque. Hadn't made that parallel. My money's still on the Suby, though...
