Anyone in here Ridin in a Slush (Auto) Rex??

hehe am i the only one around that bought his WRX solely to make a 1/4mile killer rex??? One of hte main reasons for buying my auto was so that i could have a more reliable tranny and not have to wrry about blowing so many clutches like i did with my old car .... OF course the automatic in its stock form is slower out of the hole since you cannot load the turbo for 5k launches.. My best with the stock converter is a 3500 launch and it has done me well vs everything from a Z06 Vette to a Modded Ls1 to a Viper... Im not meaning that i beat them, but at launch i pulled ahead a good half car length until they hit second, and were halfway down the road .. Getting a reworked "Bulletproof" Torque converter from level 10 soon. Just curious if there were any other "Slush" owners around that actually do some racin, and not gettin groceries like we are stereotyped as!!

Hey Rob,

I've got a slushbox as well, and although I love it, I still long for a 5-speed. Getting it wasn't my choice, since some people in my family have to drive my car from time to time. I'll have a lot of thinking to do if/when the STi comes out next year though! Once the track opens here, I'll probably so some racing there. I was looking into getting a TC but I'm holding off on it because of the STi looming in the future. Nice to see a fellow slushbox in any case!
