    3g eclipse.

It was a freind of mines. I believe it is a gts (whichever the faster v6 is?).

We took it from 30 to about 100. I took him by about 2 car lengths both races. I was actually kinda disapointed by the WRX...

Would an Up-pipe and turboback really help the "from a roll" run?

Yes it would most definately help. You should've done better though. What gear were you in? If 3rd, then there's your problem. You should've been in 2nd at 30.

That doesn't make a lot of sense to me... those V6 Eclipses are decently quick.. but should be no competition for a WRX.. 2 car lengths or not... should have been a little more than that imo.

I thought the same thing. I dont think it was my shifting either, I've only been driving the car for 5k miles... but I had to shift twice. Both times seemed smooth and fast. I wonder if the weather has something to do with it?

hmm....but it was a race from a roll....albeit not a highway roll, but still a roll nonetheless. Not exactly our car's strong points. Plus, don't those have 210 hp? It's not a EVO but it's not a Civic either.

Dont be so suprised. Those cars just get a bad rap because they arnt as cool as the 2g eclipses. My wife has one. We were driving home on the freeway tonight and at like 60 we just went. And I barely edge away from her, like maybe a quarter car by 100. People just underestimate the car. It can hit about 147mph stock.
