    DB7 Vantage encounter

Today i was driving home from the grocery store and i saw a sexy black car speeding down a back road. I recognize the body style and then i realize "oh my god thats an aston martin!" so i floor it and catch up. We come up to a 90 degree turn, and i stay behind him through it, he didnt take it as hard as he could have I'm guessing. We pass a couple of cars as its a two lane road and we take another 90 degree and i stick with him. We then hop on the highway. We were weaving between cars but he wasn't getting away from me. The highway then opens up and we both gun it. But for some wierd reason i was slowly pulling on him. I know you guys are thinking, this guy is feeding us the biggest load of crap i have ever heard, but i really was pulling on him. We went up to 110 when some more cars came and we slowed down. He gave me a thumbs up and that was the end of it. I got off. I expected to get killed by this car, i mean its an aston martin, i think it has almost 400bhp. It sounded like he was flooring it (the engine sounded AWESOME) but he really wasn't going that fast. I'm going to continue to assume all DB7's are faster than a turboXS stage 2 with an up-pipe and intake. But anyway, the driver and passenger were really nice, and that is a sweet sweet ride.

Sounds like you can hang with it for a while. I think they are pretty heavy cars.

They seem to have 420hp and a V-12.

Back home, (London), there are tons and tons of Porsches, Lambos, Aston Martins, AMG's, even a few Mclaren F1's. The only sucky part was that I had a Ford Escort when I lived there. Doh! I know how you would have felt seeing one here though. I never see ANYTHING interesting in Minneapolis. It's truly very sad. More Grand Am's than I can believe! Why?!?!

Yeah, London's streets are sick with exotic daily drivers. I am always astonished at what I see in the street when I am there......McLarens, literally!!

When I was in London a couple years ago I saw a blue TVR screaming down the street... that's the only time I've ever even seen one. I have seen only one Aston Martin on the road in the US.

TVR's are a dime a dozen in the UK. You literally get every single car there. Across the street from my house there's a guy who has a Bentley Turbo which only costs 250,000. (approx $375,000) Cheap! 3 doors down a buddy of mine has a Vauxhall VX220. I think they're called Opel VX220's here. Badass little car. Similar to the Lotus Elise in shape. Nutty little car, but wouldn't want to crash it

ya the us is crappy when it comes to cool cars on the streets. Nothing like london or europe im sure (havent been yet).

Wow i raced a vantage on the freeway and beat him (no joke) he looked pissed (some golden state warriors player). Wouldnt be surprised if you kept up or even pulled him a bit they are more of a luxo touring car with balls not a all oud speed demon car (if it was a ruf turbo r i would call bs)

yeah, london is amazing...loaded with nice cars. i was walking next to the river from tower bridge down to buckingham palace...which is what- 1 mile? 2 maybe? i saw literally over 10 porsches. down by tower bridge, i saw my first real life speed 6. not to mention a couple ferraris. didnt see any lambos though.

back to the original topic, when i was driving back from wisconsin one time, i saw that db7 (i highly doubt there are multiple black db7's in wisconsin) on the highway. i had 5 people in our '01 accord, and was playing around with him. i floored it, and then he did. haha. got toast? i did.

    Hrmmm...

    Sup guys,

Well my pops just bought a Black DB7 Vantage. This car is ****ing insane. The V-12 BONES OUT. I STRONGLY doubt a TXS Stage 2 WRX could beat it. Maybe off the line, but the car has so much mid to high end power its ridiculous. I took it to 160 on the 10 Freeway on my way to a Clippers game with my girlfriend! Talk about an easy way to get chicks, I drove it to High School one day, and OMG.!

Sounds to me like a good way to kill yourself also. I'm 16 and I know all about speed getting girls, but I've never been too far over the speed limit with a girl, because I know that if I did I would probably end up doing something stupid. Not gonna give a lecture cuz we're the about the same age, but be careful. 160 is unthinkable to me.

Just a thought....if the girl you pick up on is only interested in you all of the sudden cause you got a new car, that's not the type of girl I'd want to hook up with anyways.

Either way, your Dad is one nice guy letting you drive it.

Hmm.. on the way home from a SOLO event yesterday.

Friend got clocked doing 127. Many hours later , after seeing the inside of jail, and many hefty tickets later, he had to call his parents to bail him out and get his car out of impound.

160 is unthinkable on a public road...
    Totally stock...yep uh huh :P
