Exact same motor... Exact same drivetrain... exact same tranny. Approx. same weight. 227hp off the boxer 4.

I dont see how it would be any different

The youre right. What i cant wait for is the legacy the subaru site says that it will be 250hp i thought orignally it would be 300hp but how would you think it will performe with the fact that it is heavier then the wrx.

I love the look of the A4 and Audi's in general. But bank for the buck they are not. They are more about peppy luxury IMO. The A4 is very underpowered and very overweight. Even chipped they are underpowered for there weight.

They cost an insane amount of money to make fast compared. I had a chance to run an A4 with at least an exhaust. We started from a light (without a launch) I was behind him so I started at least a car and a half behind him. My the top of 2nd into 3rd I was passing him fast. My car isn't what I would call big power, its just very light. 2780lbs empty.

You are playing the dream car game... I am playing the practical "you could actually do it if you wanted to" game.

Not to mention that to say the rs4 and the wrx(saab9-2x) are extremely comparable is a far stretch.

well car and driver tested the new 92x and the numbers: Quarter mile 15s @92 thats far from the S4s 98 mph trap speed even the wrx is slightly faster

one of my friends has a A4, love the instead and quality, he just put a catback on and claims it will give him 20HP *i told him total BS, dont worry* but am i wrong?

ALso, he plans on getting a chip by end of summer, and i doubt i will mod my car more than a new filter or exhaust by then because i dont want to spend too much money on this car, keep it nice for a while, its already fast.

If we ever race i will let you guys know. But i agree that audi's are really nice, but to be honest, i have driven some S4's ( i valet ) and i still feel more pull in my wrx.

    Just IMO

20 hp to the wheels or the flywheel? And are you talking about an a4 or an S4? An A4 can make 20 hp to the wheels with turbo back exhaust not catback and even then you need the chip to make the extra 20 hp on the exhaust besides the chip. Just like the RS6 the exhaust alone did not add hp the addition of the chip combined with the exhaust added hp. i doubt even then 20 to the wheels for the A4 maybe to the flywheel

Ya, the A4 is really slow, we got in a huge argument about it b/c i said no way in hell it will ad 20 hp either to the wheels or crank.

With the chip ya they can add some decent power, but with just exhaust its still rather slow.

How would a stock wrx do against a stock s4 from a stop?
