oooo... Mac using WRX drivers.... VERY cool.. yeah, VLC rocks, most of the time, has some stability problems, and is sometimes a little choppy due to its beta nature, but it works nicely.

    avi vs. mpeg

VCL may work for some but it's still not as great as an mpeg.

Mpegs compress video files roughly at a 30:1 ratio. It also keeps good quality when compressing those files, which is why internet downloads that stream are often mpegs.

Avis are not cross-platform straight out of the box. Macs can't interpret some of the codec in avis, which often lead to error messages.

Mpegs however ARE truly cross-platform specific, supported by both windows and mac multimedia players.

Furthermore, if im correct, you have to download avis fully before you can use VCL to view them. 93 megs is a lot to download.

How do i know all this? Because I work in the video/multimedia business.

I hope I didn't sound like a wise-acre, because I like to see as many WRX videos as the next guy.

So pleeeeeeez make more mpegs out there.

That video kicked ass! Especially with the bike rack with bike attached.

    finally saw the video

Well I finally downloaded the file and got to see it in VLC. Pretty nice.

The exhaust on the WRX sounds pretty throaty, even for an aftermarket pipe.

I'm gonna convert the video to an mpeg tonight and get the file size smaller (as well as make it cross platform).

could anyone out there host the mpeg so other members can see it?

Sweet vid. Great job! I think I need more memory though because it came across a little choppy.
