You know I had a 3000GT tailing me about 2 month ago. So he goes right to pass my car....we cruise next to eachother for a little and we both gun it from 80-120mph. He beat me by 2 car lengths I've heard about our sucky topend, but didn't know it was so bad. So don't underestimate them. The VR4 has more power, (more weight too), AWD, and 4-wheel sterring. Definitely a nice car.

Uh...have you never heard about this car before? I wanted one of these ever since I was young.

    VR-4
TWIN Turbos, 6 speed, AWD, 4-wheel steering
    320 hp / 315 lbs. of torque
    0-60 = 5.4 sec
    1/4 mile = 13.5 sec.

I'm not sure about the specs of the base SL model, but I don't think they're anything to be too concernced about.

Yes, my car is old enough that many people just getting their license have no idea what it is. This means a plentiful supply of eager participants in the stoplight grand prix.

This, coupled with the number of non-turbo models produced vs. turbo models, means I drive a sleeper that isn't disguised at all. It's blatantly a sports car yet nobody expects anything from it, especially at the track.

Oh well, more fun for me

SL model = 220hp, FWD and weighs about 3500 lbs. I think 0-60 in the mid 7's to lower 8's and 1/4 mile in upper 15's-lower 16's from what I can remember. i.e., not much of a threat to the WRX.

Hell yes, your car and those VR-4's are nice cars. When they came out back in the early 90's they were compared against cars like the SupraTT, 300ZXTT and RX7 in almost every car magazine. That should give you an idea of the level of cars those are. All of them said the Stealth TT or VR-4 was the easiest car to drive fast because of it's AWD.

    222HP, 217TQ.

    0-60 in high 6 sec.
    3250 lbs.
    low 15's.

Still no threat to the WRX.

Well maybe from a roll........especially up top. By the way the heaviest Model was the SL, which peaked at 3300 LBS in some years, not 3500 LBS

I had one on my a$$ going up a canyon at night in the rain.
I thought it was a muscle car of some kind and no way he could hang in the corners, He stayed with me for a while...till I let it all hang out. I beat him through the twisties. I let him pass when we got to a more open stretch, I don't think he was happy.
Nice car, driver was unfriendly though.
