Just got back from the track

    haha, the title rhymes...

anyhow, I have a Bosal downpipe, custom up pipe, and custom axelback, so i still have the stock third cat and resonator, and a boost controller.

My first run i pulled an embarrasing 14.82 1/4@ 94.78 and a 5.84 R/T oh, and a 2.39 60 foot The guy at the lights was telling me to do something so i was in neutral and next thing i know... the lights were already green

    Second run: Goodish launch (all four spun, crappy RE-ninety-poos) .610 R/T, 13.85 1/4, 1.939 60 foot, 97.37 mph
"Long separated by cruel fate, the star-crossed lovers raced across the grassy field toward each other like two freight trains, one having left York at 6:36 p.m. travelling at 55mph, the other from Peterborough at 4:19 p.m.at a speed of 35mph."

Not bad "second" run. All you need is practice and you should easily get mid- 13's, maybe even low 13's. Try getting to the track earlier to get in more runs.

this is kinda off topic and may have been discussed before, but i have an uppipe and Bosal downpipe, and i'm planning on getting a straight pipe, so maybe you could tell me....

    1) is it loud at idle?
    2) does it stay reasonably quiet below 3k rpms?
    3) is it still high pitched higher in the rev range?
    4) how major is the difference (loudness) between closed and WOT

i mostly just want to know if it's quiet enough to not get pulled over if i drive slow.

Oh yeah....work on that launch and you'll definitely get below 13.5, too bad you only got one good run.

well, i've never even gotten a glare from a cop. if you are cruising it is somewhat quiet. Idleing is not loud, but you can def. hear it. WOT is LOUD hehe. I love it, i can hear the turbo screamingwhen i'm driving.

The tone is actually low pitched throughout the rev-range.

at idle it is mild but definetly there. (you can hear the turbo whining through the exhaust...mmmmm, turbo)

the difference between idle and WOT is not so much tone, but volume...

I can post sound clips if you want.
    lemme know.

hey thanks for the info I can't wait until my car's finished so i can go get one made! sound clips would definitely be a plus, even though i'm still going to get one if it's too loud
