Boxter S raced me while I wasn't looking

Tht's right. We were door to door from one light to the other...just driving normally. Not racing...nothing. Just chillin'.

Once we got to this certain light, I hear his engine roar. I was like oh crap, so I went WOT...from 1k RPM. Not a launch by any means. Needless to say he was ahead of me.

At the end of 1st, my front was at his door. At the end of 2nd, I was a foot away from being hood to hood. We shut down at the middle of 3rd because we were quickly approaching the railroad tracks.

It was a fun race. It was my first after being thrown in the slammer for street racing. Was it smart? Hell no! But it sure was fun I got my fix for another 3-4 months.

The guy was nice. When we got to the next light, he said "that's a fast car you got there!" I replied, "that's a fast car you got!"

I was satisfied considering that I didn't launch, and I had a suspension kit in my trunk

    Cool

Nice. It sounds like a respectable race.
But when you start getting thrown in the slammer for street racing, maybe it's time to play it a little safer.

Or find a different strip of road to race! ; )

Your absolutely right. Because I was so worried about getting caught, it made for an even more intense adrenalene rush It's for sure not something that I'll be doing much of...just maybe every once in a while...without almost tripling the speed limit anymore either

I've raced and destroyed Boxster Ss on the highway. Needless to say, I never got to chat with them afterwards. Porsche owners are typically cool. I hope to be one someday!

    I think this year's Boxter S has between 270-280HP.

    WTF!!!

    lol

pennsylvania must be really different than southern california. around here porche owners are worse than bmw owners. most of the time it's some rich dude in a business suit going through mid-life crisis.

funny thing is that in the wealther cities near me(irvine, laguna beach, etc) people buy boxters like they were honda civics

There's a article in a recent road and track on the new Boxster S, I believe it has only 250 hp. Nothing a BPU WRX cant handle on the straightaway. I wouldnt mingle with one in the twisties though ..... OK, yes I would

I see SO many Porsche's here in Houston. Whether they be 911s or Boxsters, they totally infest our city.

Ummm...not trying to diss or anything, but uhh...aren't you on probation or something? Maybe you should be careful, resist temptation, and layoff on the stoplight racing for a while...I'm sure we'd hate to see another WRX driver not being able to drive his REX.
