I'm sure that Sport Compact Car's comments regarding the SRT4 and WRX are what's getting people worked up about it. The SRT4 cost thousands less than other sport compacts like the RSX-S and WRX. The WRX has it's merits and the SRT4 does too. $400 and a couple more bucks in labor and an SRT4 won't be peg-legging anymore. Where's all the people comparing the SRT4 to the Supra? I don't see people trying to do the same comparisons with the Corvette, RX7, Supra, M3, NSX, and Skyline and how some cars are more bang for the buck than others. I don't see it on the forums for those cars at all. Once in a while someone cracks an RX7 joke.
Meanwhile, SRT4 owners seem to be developing an aura of superiority because their car happens to be cheap and fast at the same time. They end up thinking they're invincible and if they lose they claim the other car had a lot more mods or was beyond their league. But isn't that the point? To go fast, even with a buncha mods?

My RSX-owner friend showed me this page that had a 100+ page thread on SRT4 lovers and RSX owners going at it back and forth, back and forth, kinda like those religon or politic threads that pop up here once in a while. For the record, the RSX does have a very pleasant interior.

    Here's some clowns for ya'.

Let's not forget that the SRT-4 and the EVO would not likely even BE HERE if not for the success of the WRX. It's no wonder that the WRX is the car everyone compares to.. it's the one that's been around for a while. Not too hard for the other guys to hit a target when they know what they are shooting for.

So all you SRT-4 and EVO lovers.. bow down to the WRX Owners that have made all this possible and say THANK YOU.....

That is till the STi hits the road.. then you can go back to cowering in the corner

I'm going to have to disagree here. The EVO, sure, but not the SRT4. The SRT4 is dodge's (extremely late) entry into the sport compact market. The turbo thing is a natural step for the company with the most production turbocharged vehicles ever...

There will always be new "kings for the day." Trying to stay on top is a losing (wallet wise) proposition. Fun to try tho isn't it
