Had some fun in STL this weekend

Wow, visiting an old girlfriend and her family (yes we're still close) hadn't been down the st louis in a while, they took me to this road, where pretty much all these kids do is drive up and down and chill in the parking lots along the side, show off their cars.. OMG i had a blast, drove up and down this street (about 2 miles long) for like 3 hours. Anyone from STL know where im talkin about? not sure of the name of the road, starts with an "L" anyways, nobody there had even heard of my car, except for one guy in a mustang... it was base, he didnt wanna run... but i got to run a nice ford taurus hahahah jackass, heres the conversation:

    Him: "Wanna run?"
    Me: "Ummm.. are you sure?"
Him: "Yeah, what kinda car is that?"
    Me: " subaru wrx"
Him: " hahahahhah subaru, yeah light em up man, lets go"
Me:"ummm light em up?, its awd can't really light them up on dry ground man"
Him:"well can you turn that off?"
Me:" the awd? no you moron, are we gonna race?"
    Him:"Yep, on the green, hit"
Me:"Alright, it was nice talking to you, have a nice night"

and of course the light changes.. i dont even launch.... take it to the end of 2nd and im already like 4-6 car lengths ahead of him, i wasn't payin too much attention cause the next light comes up quick, so i had to let off.... and so the conversation continues at the next light...

    Him:"your car stick?"
    Me:"of course.. why?"
Him:"thats why you beat me, if mine was stick, i would have won"
    Me:"ummm, your kidding right?"
Him:"nah man, i almost had you"
Me:"dude i didnt even get to 3rd gear and i was like 5 cars ahead of you, is there somewhere else we could race, that doesnt have lights every 15 seconds?"
Him:"why you wanna lose, my car will take you after 2nd gear"
Me:"Umm i got 1000 bucks in the atm, if you wanna really race?"
Him:"umm, no its ok, my parents bought my car, id ont have any money"
Me:"dont race people when you dont know what kinda car they have, haev a nice night"

hahahah ok, i made up the last line from him, but thats how the convo went, haha, it was pretty funny.. it was also funny to see the look on his friends faces in the car when i completely destroyed them... they were laughin at him haha, anyways anyone in STL that road is amazing.... and the bluffs over by Dupo on the illinois side, wow soo much fun man, although i did go str8 when the road turned once, but its a rally car.. supposed to go off road hehe

oh yeah, i took a toyota corolla that thought it was fast also, but not as fun as the taurus haha.. my first few real kills, thought i'd post :P not much real racing by me in the chicago burbs... wish i could find a street like this around here... anyways, thought it was amusing, if anyone actually reads the whole thing haha

Are you refering to the "Loop" I think it's over in chesterfield. I'm a little fuzzy considering I haven't been up that way in about 4 years. Either way yeah there are some great "crusing" spots. Problem is there's ALOT of rice driving around.

Poop you're probably talking about Lindbergh in South County. That's the only other L place with stop lights every 10 feet . Still it's a shame that St. Louis is a little more Fast and the Furious and not performance oriented. Well cheerio

yeha lindbergh, thats it, i had a blast, its nicer after 11pm when all the lights change to flashing yellows down the main strip, and then the side ones are flashing red.... yeah, there were a few fast and furious cars up in there.... but i saw quite a few mustangs and camaros and **** like that, a few really nice grand nationals too.... but god, the ugliest thing i saw, was some ****in girls that thought they were ghetto rollin around in a new style impala, with those like solid rims on the car, the ones where its like all chrome and just like 4 tiny slits to see through, you know what im talkin about.... they were 20's... omg soooo ugly.. but yeah, i had a blast down that strip.. i wanna go down there just for that again..... ill hafta go visit my ex again haha
