I believe quite a few of us have that feeling.

Why do people do what they do? People are a mystery to me. Perhaps a bit of fun on a boring sunday night?

Once I raced an ITR in reverse.. My AWD really helped my whop him up on the backward launch. By 15mph I couldnt even see him, But it turns that it was because I was looking over my shoulder but not at him..

Uh, first of all, an ITR engine is a B18C5. There is no such thing as a 6 speed ITR. Unless it's a new DC-5 (RSX) Type-R, but you said it's a 99 ITR so it's still a DC-2 chassis. I'm just a little confused is all. Please clarify or find out exactly what your friend has before posting.

The question I have is how did you race a 1999 ITR? Since there wasn't one made for the US in that year.

    kudos,

yes, the story is true. and no, i dont have 525hp, the turbo supports that figure. sense i dont have an AWD dyno, i dont know my power figures. my friend has the Pitbull handheld engine reprogrammer, which reprograms the stock chip, which is what i have done. and i'm upgrading the fuel system this month (april).
if oyu look at the first post, it says JDM (that means from Japan people) B18A. it's non vtec. the B18c5 was the orginal engine, but he blew it up, so now he has a b18a from an integra ls 4 door.
im sorry about the year, he told me wrong, it's a 2001. my bad. he told me it was a '99, i should have known better.
i guess he bogged it because he downshifted, he was in 3rd then he downshifted to 2nd and gunned it. he has crappy Copper tires, so they lost traction. the only reason it wiggled was because he was on the clutch wayyyyyy too long.
2002 blue WRX: JDM STi wing, reprogramed ECU, APS Red Hot dual ball bearing SR50 turbocharger, APS BOV, APS CAI, APS DP, APS DR 500 front-mount intercooler kit, APS STi-style hood scope, MOMO harness.

Uh, it still doesn't make sense. If he downshifted from 3rd to 2nd at 60, there's no way he could bog. Take pix of your friend's engine bay if you can. I wanna see what it is. If you look where the header mounts 2 the engine, to the left, you'll see the engine stamp. If he does have a LS engine, you didn't race a type r, you ran a LS integra in an ITR shell. Regardless, you should always win against a LS Integra unless you drive like you're driving miss daisy. :x

Should have stuck with "he had blah blah mods, I'm stock"
    Would have sounded more authentic.

Can someone throw up the BS flag for me, please?!

There's no non-VTEC 1.8L DC2 Integra motor from Japan, the Zi, Xi and Ti Integras came with a 1.6L sohc.. maybe he has that one.. lol..

    <BUZZ> no '99 Type-R in this country
    <BUZZ> 6-speed trans doesn't exist for the b-series Honda
<BUZZ> 230whp puts his car into the low 12s (easy)
<BUZZ> your car with turbo/no mbc and fmic makes an ITR with i/h/e/clutch pull on you.. (they're slow, imo)

Uh, this still doesn't make sense?

I think the ITR (or ITLS, it sounds like) would have won if his car had any of the following: a) a larger spoiler, b) more tachometers, or c) more cowbell.
