    Vid:WRX vs 5.0 Stang - a difference of 1 passenger

    First run from 45-140 roll: wrx shifts into fifth early, but it don't matter, wrx was only pulling back a lil. cameraman is in wrx

    2nd run 10mph-?: 5.0 misses a shift cameraman is in 5.0
    3rd run 45-160: cameraman is in 5.0
    Camera man weighs 150 lbs.

    5.0 stang caculated the 159.x mph by using gear ration, rpm + tire size. 5.0 had heads, intake manifold, exhaust, cam, roller rockers, lifters, and some other stuff. He runs 8.5 in the 1/8th. Now he has a new short block with some new work done to it.

    Did the 5.0 have all those mods when that vid was taken? If so, that's pretty sad. I pretty much own most of the local modded 5.0's and GTs that tried to race me.

    I doubt this 5.0 had half the mods listed. for a couple grand, holley makes a package with heads, cam, intake for 2800 bucks, and it makes a full weight GT run low 12's at way more mph than that rex has. Heads make all the difference in those 5 liters That mustang is slow... good footage though.

    He has a page of listing on his mods for his stang. He probably could run 12s if he had slicks... his time for his mods is quite right... And also mustang's 5th gear is very horrible.... He runs 13.3@104...

    hmm..I see the vid just fine... Just make sure you have the latest version of windows media player, and I think you will be fine!

    It is AMAZING the difference that 1 passenger can make wrt the results of a roll on race like that!
