That should get the attention of folks, tehe. Looks like the basics for a turbo and some slicks to put the power down can really get the SRT4 running.

Ummm...... Question.....Don't SRT4's already trap at 102MPH stock?????![]()
If so, what benefits did the exhaust mods have????

yeah, i don't think those mods did anything. impressive.![]()
it was prob just the slicks....which is good! those cars don't take well to mods![]()

No where, is my style diferent, yes, I am AbACUZ.
It was mostly in the slicks. The ATP upgrades do dyno at 290lb/ft at 3k tho, so i'm sure there's a nicer pull during the gears. 12.9 with just slicks though.. DAMN

Thats a good amount of HP increase for those mods. If those mods are giving 290 ft/lbs at the wheels those cars take well to mods. I wonder what times it would get on normal tires like S-03's or 712's. Its one thing to go fast in a straight line its another to go fast in a turn. Still very impressive.

Did I miss something or was the 1/8 time not listed?
2002 WRBP WRX
Old setup = BPM GT turboback, PDE up-pipe, Unichip w/custom map, cooler plugs (NGK range 7), Walbro 255LPH FP, MBC (15 PSI), and custom built turbo utilizing the 13G housing (Internals: Hitachi compressor wheel, Mitsu 15G turbine lightly clipped).
1/4, 12.88 105.10 - 1/8, 8.09 85.96
New set up = Now w/UTEC and STI Injectors
1/4, ? - 1/8, ?
What kind of an HP increase is the Neon getting if it STILL traps at 102mph in the 1/4mile..... ? It may be picking up torque in the powerband, but it obviously is not picking up anything in the top end of the powerband.... That trap speed would suggest that the car is as powerful as the day it rolled out of the DC Plant it was built at....despite its "stage 4" designation...
I just don't get it![]()
I know the slicks dropped the ET, since we know that it is capable of 14.1 on stock tires, BUT at 102mph trap speeds.... The ET has dropped, but the mph is still the same as a stock car......

I agree, the traps at least should've gone up "marginally". It's obviously picking up all of it's time with the slicks! With the 1.8 60', that should get it near 13.2 (in my mind) but what's with the 12.9 and 102?
I will admit though, I don't know much about the tire/rim size on slicks nor do I know the weights. Can they make that much of a difference??.
BTW, I still want to know the 1/8 times + traps of that car...

That is weird.
Would the slicks mounted on 15inch wheels affect trap speed due to gearing or rolling resistance?
I mean, to shave off more than a full second off your ET you have to be making some serious power over stock. The trap speed just isnt showing it though.
I did notice he pulled something like a 1.8 60ft. That right there will shave some serious time compared to the stock setup. Going from a 2.0 plus shorty to a 1.8 is 4 tenths off the ET easily in its own right.

12.5@109
2004 SRT4 449whp & 457ft-lbs

using slicks usually does lower your ET for fwd and rwd i believe
